Live again! Q-Service Truck chain meeting in Zegrze
2021-09-24
After a year-and-a-half break due to the restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the garages affiliated in the Q-Service Truck chain were again able to meet in person at the traditional chain meeting. On 3-4 September in Zegrze, there was a lot of fun, even more smiles and socialising to strengthen relationships, as well as a conference part during which the chain's development plans for the coming years were presented.
- We all missed the face-to-face meetings with garage owners, so we are glad that we could finally meet our business partners, but above all friends with whom we have known and cooperated for years. The structure of Q-Service Truck has always been based on partner relationships, direct help and support between garages, so every opportunity to meet face-to-face is a chance to tighten mutual relations - says Sławomir Rybarczyk, President of Q-Service Truck and Commercial Director at Inter Cars.
Sport is great for health
This year's chain meeting was held in the atmosphere of active leisure, as the participants took part in water sports prepared by the organisers. All those who wanted, were divided into groups, which competed against each other in sailing regattas. The crews had modern Raport 26 yachts at their disposal and raced along a specially prepared course on the waters of Zegrzyńskie Lake. The best crews were awarded with a special statue and a set of dedicated gifts.
In addition to taking part in the sailing regatta, participants were also able to enjoy ribs, kayaks and Yamaha jet skis throughout the day. The safety of the participants was supervised by a team of professional sailing instructors from the 'Storm Group'. The water activities were not only a chance to spend the day actively, but also an opportunity to have fun together, strengthen relationships, compete and cooperate as a team.
Fleet first
After a day full of attractions, the afternoon and evening session started with a short conference, during which Sławomir Rybarczyk, Sylwia Wysocka and Mariusz Kozubek talked about the development prospects of the Q-Service Truck chain in Poland and Europe, the future of the truck industry and the fleet programme for truck garages, which has been intensively developed and built on the chain garages for several months.
- The development of a fleet programme that would operate efficiently not only in Poland, but also in Europe, is one of our priorities for the coming years - says Sylwia Wysocka, Project Manager, Q-Service Truck. - We want to and we do base a large part of our fleet programme on the chain of garages belonging to Q-Service Truck. In Poland alone, the organisation has more than 80, and in the whole of Europe almost 200 associated garages. Q-Service Truck is present in Romania, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Lithuania, Slovakia, Ukraine and Latvia, and by the end of next year we plan to open further locations in Slovenia, Bulgaria, Croatia and Moldova, among others.
Everything on schedule at Ford
Another initiative that has been implemented for several months under the auspices of Q-Service Truck is the Ford Trucks Poland project, which was presented by Wojciech Kopiel, Managing Director, during the meeting in Zegrze: - We are realizing sales according to plan and, although we were badly affected by the pandemic last year, we are consistently growing with our sales results. We want to close this year with around 500 vehicles sold. We have many more people interested in buying new truck tractors, but half a thousand is a realistic figure that the manufacturer is able to supply. Each of the participants of the meeting could not only learn in what direction the development of the Ford Trucks network in Poland is going, but also see with their own eyes the new Ford Cargo vehicle with a tipper body, which has just been imported to our country. This is a novelty for the construction market which, although it has not yet had its official premiere in our country, is already attracting quite a lot of interest from prospective customers.
Welcoming new garages and a long dinner
During the conference part, one of the panels was also devoted to the plans for the development of the Q-Service Truck chain through the prism of the points programme, which will be a tool to present the level of garage classification, and there was also talk about the marking of garages and the support programme. There was also a reminder of the Chain Ambassadors selected for 2021-22 and an official welcome to two new members of the organisation - Eurotruck S.C. Anna and Adam Filiczkowscy from Nowa Sól and Zakład Naprawy Pojazdów Ciężarowych Mirosław Różycki from Koszalin.
After the business part, each participant was able to focus on backstage talks, and finally the successful evening was crowned with a barbecue dinner for all participants. There was no end to friendly conversations in a cordial atmosphere. The meeting in Zegrze was the first live event for chain members since the pandemic began. And although there had been many previous conversations, consultations and virtual meetings in a larger group using modern technological tools, the live meeting proved how we all missed the face-to-face meetings, smiles and handshakes of friends.
